About RCI, Inc.

RCI, Incorporated is an international association of professional consultants, architects, and engineers who specialize in the specification and design of roofing, waterproofing and building envelope systems.

Since 1983 RCI members have offered unbiased design, repair planning, quality observance, legal testimony, and general roof management services. In March of 2006, RCI (formerly Roof Consultants Institute) expanded its mission and service scope to include waterproofing and the building envelope. This action reflects the understanding that roofing issues often influence the entire building envelope. It was discovered that in increasing frequency, RCI members are called upon to address building-wide concerns from below-grade to rooftop.

The Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC) and Registered Roof Observer (RRO) programs distinguish professionals with the proven standards of education, experience and ethics.

The Ohio Valley Chapter held its last meeting of 2010 on December 3.

Among the business discussed, upcoming 2011 ORCA presentations, a 2011 first quarter meeting and results of election for 2011 offices.

Elected offices for the 2011 year are as follows:

  • President - Andrew Raile, RRC, RRO

    As last year’s Vice President/President Elect, Andrew takes on the responsibilities of President of the Ohio Valley Chapter.

  • Vice President - Dan Lawrence, P.E., RRC

    Dan stepped down from his Board position to run for Vice President.

  • Secretary - Al Alesi

    Al Alesi will assume the secretary position for 2011, a position he has held in the past.

  • Treasurer - Patrick Dowling, RRO

    As the past President for 2010, Pat will now assume the position of Treasurer for 2011.

  • Board Member - Gregory Nichols, RRC, RRO

    Gregg will continue his role as a Professional Board Member for the second year of his two year term.

  • Board Member - Gary Mays, PRC

    Gary was elected as a Professional Board Member for 2011. He has served in various positions with the Chapter.

The Ohio Valley Chapter of RCI, Inc., plans on putting on various educational events for the upcoming year. The first event will be the Ohio Roofing Contractors Association (ORCA), which will be held in Columbus, Ohio in March. We will feature various speakers for the day long event that will coincide with the ORCA convention. Check back on the website for further information and to register for the event!
